I developed the application in Flutter/Dart and it connects to NASA's APOD API and displays astronomical images to the user. The app was developed as a personal portfolio project, without any profit or monetization. However, if anyone is interested in purchasing it ready to adapt the project, the doors are open. 1. Creation Platform: I developed the complete application on the Flutter/Dart open source platform, using NASA's APOD API.
2. Application Layout: In the Front-End part, I used Flutter for a fluid, modern and competitive view of the market.
3. Functionalities: The application has 4 main views, and in addition to just displaying the images, the user can download the images directly through the application or share them, the views are:
• Image of the Day – The application displays the current date image with title and full description.
• Image by Date – You can choose any date since 1995 to be displayed with title and full description.
• Image by Period – You choose a start date and an end date and display all images within those dates.
• Random Images – You choose the number of photos you want and the application returns that number of images.
4. Speed: To leave the project with great results in terms of performance, I used the best programming practices in Dart, perfect for making the application as fast as possible for the user.
5. Complete Application: In addition to the entire image viewing ecosystem, the application is 100% responsive to any screen of any size, thus helping viewing wherever the user is.
